The Hollis F1 LT fins are the last pair of fins I will need. Any equipment that gets into my hands becomes a crash test dummy and these fins have passed the test. They are a wide, rigid fin with great power and currents and excellent manueverability. Made from a single mold of a lighter weight compound than the original F1 fins means they aren’t going to throw off your trim as much as other fins with similar power and life expectancy.
They are still rocking the stainless steel spring straps to make getting these fins on and off an absolute dream (certainly during those surf entries when you need to move fast.) They come in a grey colour which stands out next to the black counterpart. I chose these fins so I could move through strong currents and use frog kicks, they also helped me perfect my back finning technique.
Size wise the foot pocket is a bit wider than my simple 5mm boot allowed and so I upgraded to the Bare 7mm Ultrawarmth boot which I will never regret.
